CIRCLE (Counselling Intiatives in Regional Centres: Leadership and Education)

 

It is a requirement of professional counselling associations that counsellors and psychotherapists undertake Ongoing Professional Development. This can be an expensive exercise for counsellors living in regional areas who have to travel to Brisbane or interstate to attend workshops.


In 2010 the FPCQ Board developed “Circle” to deliver workshops in regional areas of Queensland to provide counselling practitioners with affordable ongoing professional development. Relevant associations and agencies in the regions are invited to nominate the content of these workshops. This ensures counsellors are gaining or expanding their knowledge and learning up to date skills that will meet their clients’ needs.


Members of FPCQ proficient in the workshop content present the workshops.
